This Privacy Policy describes how PestAmigo, LLC ("PestAmigo," "we") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our platform — the website, mobile experience, and related services (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account information. Name, phone number, email address, and (for operators) business or company name, logo, state pest-control license details, certificate of insurance, and a profile photo.
  • Service location. Service address, property details, and pest activity you describe at booking.
  • Payment information. Payment cards and bank account details are submitted directly to our payment processor (Stripe). PestAmigo does not store full card numbers; we receive only a tokenized identifier and last-four-digits.
  • Communications. Messages you send us (support requests, feedback) and any photos or notes uploaded with a job.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and log data. IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer, and timestamps.
  • Approximate location. Derived from the service address you provide; we do not track real-time location.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. Used for authentication, session management, and basic analytics.

Information from third parties

  • Address verification from Radar (geocoding) and (where applicable) RentCast (property metadata).
  • Payment processing from Stripe (transaction status, payout status).
  • SMS delivery from Twilio (delivery receipts for dispatch and authentication messages).

2. How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To match you with operators in your area and dispatch your booking.
  • To process payments, calculate operator payouts, and issue tax forms (1099-K via Stripe).
  • To send transactional messages (authentication codes, booking confirmations, dispatch notifications, service reports).
  • To detect fraud and protect the Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

With operators

When an operator accepts your booking, we share your name, phone, service address, pests reported, and any notes you added with that operator so they can complete the job.

With customers

Customers see the assigned operator's display name, photo or logo, and contact phone for the duration of an active job.

With service providers

We share information with vendors who help us run the Service:

  • Stripe for payments and Connect payouts.
  • Supabase for our database and authentication.
  • Twilio for SMS delivery.
  • Resend for transactional email.
  • Radar and (where applicable) RentCast for address and property data.
  • Vercel for hosting and infrastructure.

For legal and safety reasons

We may share information when required by law, in response to valid legal process, or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.

Business transfers

If PestAmigo is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Your choices

  • Update or delete your account. You can update most account information from your dashboard, or contact privacy@pestamigo.com to request deletion. We may retain limited information as required by law (e.g. tax records).
  • Marketing emails. Unsubscribe links are included in any marketing email; transactional messages are required and cannot be opted out of.
  • SMS. Reply STOP to opt out of non-essential messages. Authentication and active-job dispatch messages are required for account use.

5. State-specific rights

If you reside in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another state with comprehensive privacy legislation, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. Email privacy@pestamigo.com to exercise these rights. We do not sell personal information.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Job records and payment records are retained for at least seven years to satisfy tax and audit requirements.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit and at rest, role-scoped database access, audited service providers). No system is perfectly secure; report suspected vulnerabilities to security@pestamigo.com.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child, we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the version date above. Material changes will be brought to your attention via the Service or by email.
